Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Matt Spanks (ranked 4726 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sirus Hughes (ranked 3746 p4p, 209 weight class). Hughes has chosen Devil "Shinedown" as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Hughes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Spanks tries to clinch up but Hughes circles away and keeps his distance.
Hughes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Spanks's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Spanks (0) vs (2) Hughes
Spanks has control of Hughes's left arm, preventing Hughes from doing any damage.
Hughes passes into half guard.
Hughes is trying to control the action in half guard but Spanks is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Spanks is looking to improve his position.
Hughes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Spanks is just riding it out for now. Hughes eventually gives up the hold.
Spanks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spanks is not content to let Hughes control the position.

Spanks holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Spanks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hughes has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Spanks defend it? Hughes steps over the head and cranks it - Spanks is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hughes!
