The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gueguen throws out a loose jab but Lavigne uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gueguen looks to score with a jab to the body but Lavigne is just out of range.
A little jabbing left from Lavigne on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Lavigne avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gueguen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lavigne defends well and Gueguen ends up having to push Lavigne into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Lavigne connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gueguen's hands.
Lavigne digs a good body shot into Gueguen's ribs.
Lavigne looks to land a left hand but Gueguen moved out of range nicely.
Gueguen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lavigne throws a shot to the body.
Gueguen on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Gueguen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gueguen maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Lavigne could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gueguen has cracked it and Lavigne is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gueguen!
