Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Island Fighter (ranked 1197 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anselm Wilks (ranked 2875 p4p, 0 weight class). Island Fighter has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Island Fighter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anselm Wilks! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter misses with a leg kick. Wilks shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fighter defends it nicely. Wilks fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fighter was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Wilks looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Fighter tests Wilks's chin there with a solid looking shot. Fighter gets caught napping as Wilks dives in and scores a takedown. Fighter manages to retain guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilks with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wilks trying to control but Fighter is working from the bottom. Wilks won't allow Fighter to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilks cracks Fighter with a solid left hand. Wilks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Fighter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fighter tries to get out of the position. Fighter wants to stand but Wilks is controlling the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wilks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Wilks working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Wilks is working Fighter over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Wilks postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Wilks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Wilks wants to control from the top but Fighter keeps moving. Wilks might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fighter haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilks with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Wilks postures up in Fighter's guard and throws a big left but Fighter blocks it. Wilks throwing strikes but missing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wilks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Fighter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wilks trying to control but Fighter is working from the bottom. That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilks throws an elbow that misses. Fighter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wilks's guard. Nice move by Fighter!
Fighter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wilks on the ground. Wilks looking for a sweep. Not yet Wilks, not yet. Wilks looking for a guillotine here but Fighter defends easily.

Wilks is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wilks looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fighter is looking to stand up but Wilks won't let him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fighter misses with a looping right. Wilks throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fighter's waist but Fighter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wilks off to one side. Island Fighter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anselm Wilks. Wilks shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wilks was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Fighter is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Wilks has just dragged him back down to the mat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wilks misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Fighter looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Fighter bucks up and tries to throw Wilks off but instead Wilks has got his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anselm Wilks dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Wilks avoids the body shot from Fighter.
Wilks with a poor takedown and Fighter counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Fighter cracks Wilks with a good jab. Wilks throws a lazy uppercut
and Wilks takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Wilks darts in looking for a takedown but Fighter gets double underhooks and turns Wilks into the cage. Wilks doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fighter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Island Fighter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anselm Wilks. Fighter clinches with his opponent.

Fighter with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Fighter lands a nice uppercut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A knee to the head by Fighter.

Wilks tries to break the clinch but Fighter is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter scores with a nice hook to the head. A nice left hand lands by Fighter.
Wilks takes a shot to the head. Fighter crunches a lovely knee into Wilks's ribcage. Wilks is breathing heavily. Nice body punch from Fighter - that landed with a thud.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Fighter creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Fighter lands with a light punch inside. A quick uppercut on the inside from Fighter. Fighter makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. A short right from Fighter. Fighter lands a nice shot to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fighter lands a right hand that snaps the head of Wilks backwards. Fighter landing knees to the head.
Wilks is rocked! Wilks misses with a punch to the body.
Wilks is still on wobbly legs! Can Fighter finish him? Fighter has Wilks pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Wilks is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Fighter - that's hurt Wilks badly! Oh, another knee lands and Wilks is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Wilks doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Island Fighter! Island Fighter decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
