Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregory Motts (ranked 1987 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manager Yonic (ranked 1988 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yonic misses with a takedown attempt - Motts sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Motts swings for the body but Yonic moves out of range.
Motts circles away from the clinch attempt.
Good exchange - Motts coming out on top.
Motts looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Motts scores with a nice right hand.
Yonic moves out of range as Motts strikes.

Yonic closes the distance and clinches.
Yonic blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Motts misses with a body punch.
Motts lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Motts digs a right hand underneath Yonic's ribcage. Yonic let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Motts struggles to land a body shot inside as Yonic controls his hands.
Yonic looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Motts tries to throw a body punch but Yonic avoids it by throwing Motts back against the cage.

A short body shot lands from Motts as the two fighters clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yonic is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Motts is aware though and is defending well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yonic can do anything to dispel that myth.

Motts got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yonic has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Motts has managed to get both his arms back between Yonic's legs - danger averted.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Motts lands a left hand that snaps the head of Yonic backwards.
Motts creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Yonic with a big uppercut! Yonic tries to clinch up but Motts pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Yonic to the mat! Yonic covers up and Motts unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
