Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Don Juan Matus (ranked 2883 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mo Amrani (ranked 21497 p4p, 0 weight class). Matus comes to the cage accompanied by Crow Spirit. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
35 - 20 - 4, fighting out of Amsterdam, Don Juan Matus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mo Amrani! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amrani misses with a straight left. Don Juan Matus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Amrani throws a jab when Matus was well out of range. Matus keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Amrani. Matus swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Amrani lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Amrani slips a jab from Matus. Matus swings widly with a right hand
and Amrani counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Matus slips under a jab. Matus has been working on his boxing with his coaches at UnderGround Specialist Academy in the buildup to the fight. Matus thuds a left hand into Amrani's body. Amrani lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Matus circles away quickly and effectively. Matus throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Amrani sees it coming and avoids it easily. Matus looks to land a left hand but Amrani moved out of range nicely. Amrani swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Matus cracks Amrani with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Matus pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Amrani misses with an uppercut. Matus saw that one coming. Matus looks to land a body kick but Amrani moved away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Amrani takes a shot to the body in his stride.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matus getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Amrani gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Matus. Matus moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
It looks like Mo Amrani has been cut. Amrani walks forward, straight into a front kick from Matus. Matus misses with a straight right. Amrani looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Amrani misses with a right hand letting Matus counter with a right hand. Matus misses with a body kick. Matus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Amrani connects with a nice looking jab.
Amrani slips under a jab. Matus digs a good body shot into Amrani's ribs. This has been an exciting period of action! Matus misses the shot to the body. Amrani looks to throw the jab but Matus is out of range. Amrani might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Amrani misses with a series of wild punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Amrani falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Matus to counter with a crisp jab. Amrani is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Matus. Matus scores with a kick to the body.
Amrani throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Matus counter with a right hand. Amrani lands a nice shot that snaps Matus's head back.
Matus lands a glancing blow to the side of Amrani's head.
Amrani is rocked! Amrani leaves his chin hanging out and Matus seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Amrani crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Don Juan Matus! An out of breath Don Juan Matus thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
