Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tigran Baronian (ranked 6277 p4p, 478 weight class) and Connar Cage (ranked 3855 p4p, 377 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Connar Cage!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Baronian.
It looks like Connar Cage has been cut.
Cage staying out of range there.
Cage closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cage tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Baronian is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Cage is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cage controlling the position easily from mount.
Baronian is in all sorts of trouble here.

Baronian has given up his back.
Cage has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Baronian is defending well but eventually Cage manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Baronian has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
