The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brawler lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like Pedro Scherer has been cut.
Sloppy strikes from Scherer. Those never looked like landing.
Brawler throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Scherer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Brawler misses with an uppercut.
Scherer lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Brawler throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Scherer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Brawler lands with a shot to the body.
Brawler throws the left hand but Scherer avoids the punch easily.
Brawler scores with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brawler looks to throw the jab but Scherer is out of range.
Scherer throws a big counter head kick but Brawler avoids it with no problem.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Scherer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Brawler feints and then cracks Scherer's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Scherer down.
Scherer seems to have recovered his senses.

Brawler throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Scherer throws a counter combo.

Brawler lands a big uppercut and Scherer crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Scherer looks OK. Brawler waves Scherer back to his feet!

A slow jab from Brawler misses its intended target.
Scherer moves out of range of the strikes.
Brawler throws a body punch but Scherer moves out of range.

Brawler feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Scherer sprawling to the canvas! Scherer rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Brawler finish him?!
Scherer throws a series of punches but Brawler moves out of range.
Brawler swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Brawler measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Scherer! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
