Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Fothergill (ranked 2653 p4p, 253 weight class) and Randall Cobb (ranked 2113 p4p, 203 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fothergill might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Austrian Death Machine - Get To The Choppa. Jimmy Fothergill has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Cobb.
Cobb takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A head kick by Fothergill misses
enabling Cobb to counter with a crisp jab.
Fothergill tries to clinch there but Cobb circles away.
Fothergill misses with a double jab
and Cobb counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

and Cobb cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fothergill has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Lads Lash Banter Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Fothergill tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cobb swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fothergill loads up on a big right hand but Cobb slips the punch.
A little jabbing left from Cobb on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Fothergill avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Fothergill throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Cobb.
Fothergill moves out of range as Cobb strikes.

It seemed like Cobb was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Fothergill lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cobb backwards.
Cobb breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Cobb might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Fothergill moves in looking to clinch but Cobb pushes him off.

It looked like Fothergill was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Cobb throws a hook but Fothergill avoids it easily.
Cobb has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Fothergill seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

and Cobb connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A nice leg kick lands there from Fothergill.
Fothergill rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cobb moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cobb appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Cobb slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Fothergill bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cobb's head backwards.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fothergill throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Cobb stumbling backwards into the cage! Cobb bounces back off the cage towards Fothergill, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Fothergill lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Fothergill celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jimmy Fothergill!
Jimmy Fothergill looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'POW! Right in the kisser! Another one bites t'dust. Tek that microphone and jog on son! Sithee!'.
