Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pavel Ozerov (ranked 4590 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phy Ter (ranked 4217 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pavel Ozerov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Phy Ter! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ozerov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ter pushes Ozerov off and gets back to his feet. Ozerov stuffs the takedown attempt from Ter. Ter gets slowly back to his feet. Ter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ozerov. Ter fails with a takedown attempt. Ozerov feints and as Ter raises his hands in defense, Ozerov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ozerov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. It's a sloppy attempt though and Ozerov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ter can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ozerov controls the pace. Ter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Ozerov wants to pass the guard but Ter is keeping the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ter circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ter tries to bum rush Ozerov with a series of wild strikes but Ozerov uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ozerov tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice takedown defense from Ozerov. No joy for Ter on that attempt. Ozerov lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Pavel Ozerov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phy Ter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A punch combination from Ter misses. No joy there for Ter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ozerov shoots in and bounces Ter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ter is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Ter is trying to force a seperation but Ozerov has the dominant position. Ter wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Ter is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Ter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ter tries to clinch up but Ozerov circles away and keeps his distance. Ozerov slips a jab and a cross from Ter.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ter, as that shot connected.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ter scores with a punch to the head. Ter has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Ter takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Ter throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ozerov throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Ter unleashes a big counter combination but Ozerov bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Ozerov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Ozerov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ter defends well and Ozerov ends up having to push Ter into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Ter shoots in and drives through. Ozerov sprawls well. Ter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ter paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Ozerov tries to close the distance and clinch but Ter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ozerov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ter on his heels. He'll look to pass Ter's guard now, I'm sure. Ter wants to get back to his feet but Ozerov is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ter keeping moving, preventing Ozerov from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ozerov throwing strikes but missing. Ozerov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Ter wants to stand and escape but Ozerov is having none of it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phy Ter dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ozerov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ter throws a counter combo. Ter lands with a nice combination. Ozerov backs away looking to recover. Phy Ter seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ozerov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ter is trying to defend but Ozerov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Ozerov controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ozerov stops Ter from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ozerov trying to advance position but Ter counters by regaining guard. Ozerov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Ozerov working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ter's head. Ozerov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ter scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Ter shoots in and drives through. Ozerov sprawls well. Ozerov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ter sprawls well. Ter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ozerov gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ter moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Ter has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The fight stays on the outside here - Ozerov looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ter misses with a takedown attempt - Ozerov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Ozerov slips a jab and a cross from Ter.
Ter tries to clinch but Ozerov moves out of range. Ozerov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ter throws a combination that misses and Ozerov counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ozerov wants to control from the top but Ter keeps moving. Ozerov looking to pass the guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ozerov stands up and we're back to a striking position. Ozerov tries to clinch up but Ter circles away and keeps his distance. Ter lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ter. Ter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ozerov seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Ter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ozerov, pushing him back against the cage. Ozerov missing with knees to the body.
Ter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sloppy strikes from Ter. Those never looked like landing. Ozerov tries to counter by clinching up but Ter breaks away and moves out of range. Ozerov looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Ozerov connects with a couple of short punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phy Ter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ter scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Ter shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ozerov but Ozerov pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ter tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Ozerov counters with a three punch combo that has Ter backing up. Ter nods at Ozerov to acknowledge the strikes. Ter shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ozerov eats them both and turns towards Ter to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Ozerov shoots in but Ter avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pavel Ozerov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ozerov tries a low kick but Ter avoids it. Ozerov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ozerov somewhat. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ter feints a jab promting Ozerov to slip. Ter then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ozerov slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Ozerov fails to land the takedown. A combination from Ter does no damage. Ozerov stuffs the takedown. Ozerov was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Ozerov stuffs the takedown attempt from Ter. Ter gets slowly back to his feet. Ter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ozerov shoots in for a takedown. Ozerov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ozerov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ter wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Ozerov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ter keeps working. Ter is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ozerov has just dragged him back down to the mat. Ozerov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ozerov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ozerov decides to stand back up. Ozerov steps back and let's Ter get back to his feet. Ozerov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ter explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Ozerov keeps the fight on the outside. Ter looks to land a combination. Ozerov sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Ter lands an overhand right. This has been an exciting period of action! Ozerov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Ozerov keeps the fight on the outside. Ozerov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ter throws a combination. Ozerov tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Ter has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
