The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duif dodges the punch combination from Nickels.
Nickels lands a jab to Duif's midsection.
Nickels misses with a takedown attempt
and Duif counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Jimmy Nickels has been cut.
Duif uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nickels.
Nickels throws a left and a right that both miss
and Duif connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Duif tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nickels was well out of range. Poor timing from Duif.
Duif takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Duif went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Nickels lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

As Nickels looks to move away, Duif throws a big counter combo but Nickels just gets out of the way.

and Duif counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Duif avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nickels defending well as Duif loads up on a big left hand.

and Duif counters with a crisp right hand that drops Nickels! Duif lets Nickels back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Nickels throws a jab when Duif was well out of range.
Nickels throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Duif drops Nickels with a huge uppercut! Nickels drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Duif is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
