Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Klaus Silverstein!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silverstein fails with an attempt to clinch.
Silverstein wants to clinch.

Johnson clinches up with Silverstein and pushes him back against the cage.
Silverstein fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Johnson tries for a takedown. No joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silverstein is looking to take this one to the mat.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Johnson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Adam Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Klaus Silverstein.

Johnson goes for a takedown attempt but Silverstein pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Johnson counters with a shoot takedown. Silverstein fights it but they end up in guard.
Silverstein has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silverstein seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Johnson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silverstein manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Johnson has Silverstein in his guard.

Johnson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Johnson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silverstein defends well.
My spies in Rio Fight Academy inform me that Silverstein has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silverstein got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silverstein has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted.

Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silverstein can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Johnson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silverstein is aware though and is defending well.

Johnson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Silverstein after a bit of a struggle.

Johnson throws a series of punches but Silverstein avoids them all with ease.

Johnson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silverstein is proving hard to escape from.

Johnson has gone for a leg lock! Silverstein slips out almost immediately though and dives into Johnson's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Adam Johnson will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
