Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Malat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ister Band (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Malat might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Put the Lime in the Coconut. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Malat throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Band's waist but Band gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Malat off to one side.
Malat looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Malat throws an elbow but Band slips to the side and avoids it well.

Malat shoots in for a double leg but Band sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Malat changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Band tries to avoid it but Malat manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Band to the ground. Band escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Band feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Malat sprawling to the canvas! Malat rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Band finish him?!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ister Band dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Band stuffs the takedown attempt from Malat. Malat gets slowly back to his feet.
Band jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Malat fails with the takedown.
Band scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Malat is rocked!
Malat is working to avoid the ground and pound but Band connects with a decent elbow.
Oh Malat is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Band lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Malat down.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Band in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Band scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Malat is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Band can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
