Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gunner Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ex Peri!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peri closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Bush has one foot on Peri's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Peri looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Bush decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bush perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Peri's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Peri prevents the takedown attempt.
Bush lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Bush has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Peri is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Peri closes the distance but Bush moves to the side
and Bush counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Peri pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bush closes this distance looking for a takedown but Peri circles away.

Bush rushes Peri and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Bush shoots in looking for a takedown. Peri tries to sprawl out of it but Bush keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Peri manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Bush manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Bush throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Bush fails with a takedown attempt.
Bush throws a sloppy head kick and Peri moves out of range easily.

and Bush holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Peri on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Bush is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Peri can do to turn this around?

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bush takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Peri has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bush.

Peri shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Peri showed some decent athleticism there.

Ex Peri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bush lands with a nice body punch.

Bush moves into the clinch successfully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gunner Bush is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Bush pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Well Bush has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
