Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Br John (ranked 4562 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Davidison (ranked 4601 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Br John! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Davidison! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! John pushes Davidison up against the cage in a clinch. John is looking to take this one to the mat. A head punch on the inside from Davidison fails to land. John manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. John not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
John has a closed guard, preventing Davidison from standing up. John working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Davidison doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Davidison manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Davidison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with John. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. John trying to control the position.
John looking for a guillotine here but Davidison defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Davidison wants to stand but John has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. John keeping full guard, as Davidison tries to pass. Davidison got a little sloppy there for a moment and John has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Davidison has managed to get both his arms back between John's legs - danger averted. Davidison throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davidison postures up in John's guard and throws a big left but John blocks it. John keeping full guard, as Davidison tries to pass. Davidison with a flurry of punches that miss. John bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Davidison's guard. John trying to control but Davidison is working from the bottom. John prevents Davidison from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. John thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Davidison wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. John wants to control from the top but Davidison keeps moving. Davidison is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst John is controlling him. John is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Davidison is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst John is controlling him. John being controlled here momentarily.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davidison keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Steve Davidison is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Davidison lands a glancing blow to the side of John's head.
It looks like Br John has been cut. Davidison feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends John sprawling to the canvas! John rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Davidison finish him?!
John is rocked! Davidison lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Steve Davidison!
