The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hepple gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Poli.
Hepple rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Poli counters with a nice uppercut.
Poli on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Ronnie Hepple seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poli misses the jab.
Poli uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hepple.
Poli takes a swing at Hepple's ribcage but misses.
Poli throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hepple tries to counter with a clinch but Poli shakes him off and moves away.

It looked like Poli wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Hepple lands a leg kick that knocks Poli off balance momentarily.

Hepple throws a fast counter high kick but Poli manages to duck under it in time.

Hepple misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Poli looks to throw the jab but Hepple is out of range.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hepple looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Poli displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hepple throws out the jab.
Poli was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Hepple lands a leg kick that knocks Poli off balance momentarily.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Poli crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hepple - the referee stops the clock and Poli gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hepple. Poli manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Hepple fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hepple takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hepple throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hepple is rocked!
Poli moves in close and cracks Hepple with a massive right hand! Hepple, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Poli!

In his post fight interview, Roli Poli started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
