Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kusal Perera (ranked 410 p4p, 54 weight class) and Titan Reign (ranked 760 p4p, 90 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kusal Perera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Titan Reign!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reign cracks the inside of Perera's front leg.
Reign takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Reign misses with a body shot.
Reign fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Perera manages to avoid it.
Reign checks the leg kick.
Reign wants to counter with a clinch but Perera pushes him away.
Reign throws a hook but Perera avoids it easily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Reign has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Reign missing with a left hand there. Perera was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Perera throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reign.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reign shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Perera but Perera pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reign. Perera does a little dance to reset his feet.

Reign throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Perera.
Perera tried to counter with a leg kick but Reign avoided it.
Reign lands with a kick to the ribs.
Perera moves away from the strike by Reign.
It looked like Perera was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Reign.
Reign shoots in looking for a takedown but Perera manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reign's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Reign on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Perera connects with a body shot.
Reign looks winded!

Oooooh!!! Perera has knocked Reign down with a huge combo! Perera steps away and waves a wobbly Reign back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Reign is rocked!

It looks like Titan Reign has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Reign glances at the clock... BAM! Perera nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Reign crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Reign is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
