Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shoraku Murata (ranked 5438 p4p, 472 weight class) and Poor Junior (ranked 4894 p4p, 450 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Shoraku Murata! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Poor Junior! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murata has a takedown stuffed. Junior tries to score a power double leg takedown but Murata sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Junior somewhat. Murata wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Junior takes a body punch but keeps moving. Murata closes the distance and lands a one-two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murata is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Murata takes the fight into the clinch. Murata tries for a takedown but Junior manages to get underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murata's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Junior shoots and misses and Murata counters with a series of strikes. Junior will be more careful next time no doubt.
It looks like Poor Junior has been cut. Junior looks winded! Murata doesn't manage to clinch there - Junior circles away.
Junior unleashes a big counter combination but Murata bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. A thudding body kick lands there by Murata!

Murata plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Junior takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Junior. Murata tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Junior defends well and Murata ends up having to push Junior into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Junior gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Murata to score an easy takedown into full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Murata accidentally thumps the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Murata not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Murata keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Murata moves into the clinch. Knees in the clinch landing for Murata.

Murata pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Murata drops his hands momentarily and Junior takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Murata is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Junior can do to turn this around? Murata shoots in for a takedown but Junior shows good takedown defense. Junior throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Murata's waist but Murata gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Junior off to one side. Murata closes the distance and clinches up with Junior, looking for a takedown. Murata pushes Junior against the cage but Junior circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. and Junior counters with a left and a right that stings Murata. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Junior misses with a takedown attempt and Murata counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Murata. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Murata creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Murata unloads a knee to the mid-section. Junior lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Murata utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Murata is pulling down on Junior's head. It's preventing any offense from Junior, at least for the moment. Murata controls Junior momentarily but Junior frees himself. Murata looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Murata bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Junior's guard.
Junior is working an open guard so Murata takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Murata jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Murata shoots in but Junior avoids the takedown attempt easily. Murata tries to close the distance and clinch but Junior swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nice cross by Murata. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Murata fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Junior avoids it really well and circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! Shoraku Murata showed his dominance in that final round. Well Murata has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
