Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bonjour Arrivederci (ranked 4307 p4p, 441 weight class) and Cal Gary (ranked 5621 p4p, 488 weight class). Cal Gary is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Arrivederci.
Arrivederci shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Arrivederci showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gary should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Arrivederci takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Arrivederci changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gary tries to avoid it but Arrivederci manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gary to the ground. Gary escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've been hearing that Arrivederci has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Arrivederci is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Gary is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Arrivederci has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Arrivederci fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gary, pushing him back against the cage.

Gary pushes off an throws an elbow but Arrivederci leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Arrivederci, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
