Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Flipp! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Waller! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waller throws a series of punches but Flipp avoids them all with ease. Waller looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Waller lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Flipp circles away quickly and effectively. Flipp throwing a counter right hand but Waller manages to avoid it. Flipp throws a poor cross that misses
and Waller counters with a straight right hand. Waller lands a head shot. Waller misses with an uppercut. Flipp saw that one coming. Flipp missing with a left hand there. Waller was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Waller lands a lovely overhand right. Flipp ducks right into an uppercut from Waller. Flipp throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Waller sees it coming and avoids it easily. It seemed like Waller was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Flipp misses with an uppercut. Waller saw that one coming. Flipp looks to land a left hand but Waller moved out of range nicely. Waller dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Nice defenses there by Waller. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Flipp throws a jab but it's blocked by Waller. Flipp looks to land a left hand but Waller moved out of range nicely. Flipp throws a shot from downtown. Waller moves away and avoids it. Flipp jabbing away but nothing is landing. Waller slips under a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flipp misses the jab. Waller takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Waller has managed to clinch.
Waller lands on the inside with an uppercut. Waller doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Flipp is leaning against Waller and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Flipp blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Flipp breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Flipp takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Flipp throws a hook to the side of Waller's head but Waller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Flipp waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Waller. Waller is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Flipp with a body shot. Sloppy strikes from Waller. Those never looked like landing. Flipp throws a hook to the side of Waller's head but Waller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Waller lands with a right hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Flipp thows a left - swing and a miss! Flipp swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Waller misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Flipp.
Waller looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Flipp throws a lazy right hand but Waller sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Flipp throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Waller cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Flipp throws out a loose jab but Waller uses good head movement to avoid it. Flipp swings widly with a right hand
and Waller counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Waller scores with a body shot.
Flipp has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Flipp there as he acknowledges the shot. Flipp comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Flipp slips under a jab from Waller. Flipp throws an off balance right hand
and Waller counters with a straight right hand. Waller pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Waller scores with the left hand. Flipp knows he should have avoided that one. Flipp throws a right hand that misses
and Waller counters with a lovely straight right hand! Flipp takes a shot to the body in his stride.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A big left from Flipp misses. Tony Flipp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big right from Flipp misses. Flipp pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Flipp rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Waller counters with a stiff right hand.
Flipp is rocked! Waller scores with a jab. Flipp acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Oh Flipp is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Waller pushes Flipp up against the cage in a clinch. Flipp struggles to land a body shot inside as Waller controls his hands.
Flipp tries to break free but Waller pushes him back against the cage. Flipp is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Good body shot from Waller.
Flipp has a couple of punches blocked by Waller.
Waller scores with an uppercut up the middle. Waller dips a shoulder and cracks Flipp with a mighty uppercut! Flipp falls back against the cage and Waller unloads with a barrage of strikes! Flipp is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Waller screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Waller! Jack Waller retains his bantamweight title! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Jack Waller made sure he mentioned Notorious, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
