Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Gonzalez (ranked 789 p4p, 116 weight class) and Lao Shin (ranked 262 p4p, 36 weight class). Shin has chosen Shaolin Chamber of Death as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalez throws a body shot but no joy. Gonzalez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Good leg kick by Shin there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Gonzalez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shin. Shin circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Gonzalez dips to his left and cracks Shin with an uppercut! Gonzalez throws an overhand right that lands on Shin's shoulder, as Shin tries to avoid the shot. Gonzalez backing away here, and Shin unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Gonzalez slips a jab from Shin. Gonzalez slips a jab from Shin. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head kick misses from Gonzalez. Gonzalez has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Gonzalez drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Gonzalez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Shin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Gonzalez is looking to score with low kicks. A countering left hand to the body from Shin misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzalez drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Gonzalez has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Shin. Gonzalez falls off balance throwing a combination
and Shin counters with a thumping low kick. A big left from Gonzalez misses. Shin misses with a leg kick. Gonzalez throws a poor cross that misses
and Shin counters with a left to the body. Shin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Shin works the jab nicely. Shin dodges the punch combination from Gonzalez.
Gonzalez staying out of range there. Shin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shin. Shin forces Gonzalez back against the cage and clinches. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gonzalez blocks a body shot from Shin. Gonzalez avoids the elbow strike from Shin, against the cage.

Gonzalez lands with a short shot to the head. Shin scores with a shoulder strike. Gonzalez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gonzalez pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A solid leg kick lands there for Shin.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Crunch! Gonzalez slams his shin into Shin's torso. Gonzalez rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Shin counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gonzalez's knee momentarily. Gonzalez swinging wildly here.
Shin fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Shin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Shin takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Gonzalez tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shin throws a leg kick but Gonzalez sees it coming and moves out of range. Gonzalez is looking to land body kicks. Shin throws an overhand right that lands on Gonzalez's shoulder, as Gonzalez tries to avoid the shot. Shin misses with a body shot.
Gonzalez has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Shin. Gonzalez rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Gonzalez misses with a punch to the body.
Gonzalez lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Gonzalez manages to break the clinch.
Shin tries to clinch up but Gonzalez circles away and keeps his distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lao Shin dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Shin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Gonzalez misses with a straight right. Gonzalez lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Lao Shin seems to be getting the better of the standup. Shin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gonzalez.

Shin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gonzalezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Gonzalez avoids the head kick by Shin.
Gonzalez is looking for a counter combo. Shin throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Gonzalez misses with a leg kick and Shin counters with a nice body kick. Gonzalez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gonzalez there as he acknowledges the shot. Shin turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Gonzalez throws a poor cross that misses
and Gonzalez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Shin gets cracked there but stands up to it.

letting Shin counter with a right hand. Shin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gonzalez scores with a nice right hand.

Gonzalez backing away here, and Shin unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Anthony Gonzalez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gonzalez throws a hook but Shin avoids it easily. Shin looks like he wants to counter punch here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A head kick from Shin lands but Gonzalez takes it in his stride.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shin checks a low kick from Gonzalez. Shin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gonzalez has time to react.
It looks like Anthony Gonzalez has been cut. Gonzalez throws a poor cross that misses
and Shin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gonzalez is rocked! A decent looking body kick lands there for Shin. Gonzalez swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Shin counters with a straight that turns Gonzalez's legs to rubber! Shin pushes forward with more strikes and Gonzalez goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lao Shin! A relieved looking Lao Shin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
