Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zhang Jun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tommy Reed!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jun displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.


It looks like Tommy Reed has been cut.
Jun misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Reed.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jun enables Reed to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jun manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reed thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jun is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reed trying to control but Jun is working from the bottom.

Jun is looking for a triangle but Reed pushes his legs off easily.
Reed is pushing down on Jun's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jun is fighting to maintain full guard but Reed has managed to sneak the leg through.
Reed is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Jun is looking to get to half guard.

Reed is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jun can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Reed looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Reed cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Reed wants to control the pace but Jun is squirming around nicely.
Jun is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Reed has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Reed connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Reed is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jun is surviving well by controlling Reed's body position as best he can.

Jun stops Reed from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Jun is looking to improve his position but Reed isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Reed takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Jun has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Reed is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jun takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Jun is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Jun wants to get back to his feet.
Well, with Reed on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Jun is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Will Reed go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Reed has the hooks in. Jun is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Reed is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Jun won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Reed off his unconscious opponent!

During a confident post fight interview, Tommy Reed thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
