Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Javy Gandejos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Prokhor Zhenya!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gandejos gets a takedown into half guard.
Gandejos wants to work for an arm triangle but Zhenya is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Zhenya can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gandejos is pressing down on Zhenya's thigh, looking to free his foot. Zhenya is holding on for now.
Gandejos seems to be looking for submissions.
Zhenya flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Gandejos prevents Zhenya from standing back up.

Gandejos shoots for a double leg takedown but Zhenya sprawls well. He's pushed Gandejos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Zhenya fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Gandejos checks it well.
Gandejos scores a takedown into full mount!
Gandejos tries to control but Zhenya wriggling away.
Zhenya is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gandejos trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Zhenya is trying to stand.
Zhenya is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Zhenya working to try and regain half guard.
Gandejos is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Gandejos extends the arm and Zhenya is forced to tap!
