Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Kos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksei Kruschev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josh Kos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksei Kruschev! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kruschev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kos pinned against the cage. Kos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kos looks for a takedown but Kruschev sprawls well. Kos jabs Kruschev right on the nose. Kruschev blinks but takes it well. Kos misses with a takedown and Kruschev counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kruschev. Kos throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Kos wants to sweep here but Kruschev controlling him for the moment. Kruschev throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruschev in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kruschev drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kos manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kruschev has Kos in his guard. Kruschev looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kos is one step ahead there. Kruschev has momentary wrist control but Kos slips an elbow through the middle. Kos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kruschev trying to strike off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kruschev throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kos uses it to pass to side control.

Kruschev sneaks back into half guard. Kos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kruschev tries to get to full guard but Kos has control of the leg. Kos is controlling the pace.
Kos decides to return to a standing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kos lands with an uppercut that bounces Kruschev off the cage and back into rage. Kos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kos lands in his opponent's guard. Kos is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kruschev utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kosis looking to pass into half guard but Kruschev pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Kruschev is in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kos trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Kos controls Kruschev momentarily but Kruschev frees himself. Kruschev looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Kos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kruschev is one step ahead there. Kos is controlling Kruschev's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Kos dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kruschev's guard. Kos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kruschev throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kos's corner. There ya go! There ya go! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kruschev can do anything to dispel that myth. Kruschev looking for a sweep. Not yet Kruschev, not yet. Kos postures up in Kruschev's guard and throws a big left but Kruschev blocks it. Kos wants to control from the top but Kruschev keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kos cracks Kruschev with a solid left hand. Kos works over Kruschev with some ground and pound from guard. Kruschev has his foot on Kos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kos works his way back into a safe position though. Kruschev is breathing heavily. Kos lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kruschev isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kos stacks Kruschev on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kos! A lull in the action here as Kos stalls from top position. Kos in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kos scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kruschev to see if he's OK. Kos working the ground and pound. Kos scores with a couple of short elbows.
Kruschev is rocked! Kos in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Kruschev is still in real trouble! Can Kos finish him? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kruschev on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kos passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Kruschev! Kos connects with a bit shot that sees Kruschev covering up! More strikes from Kos and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Kos is our winner by TKO!
