Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mini Stipe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nusrat Baigan! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baigan moves in looking to clinch but Stipe pushes him off. Stipe checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Baigan swings for the body but Stipe moves out of range.

Baigan is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Stipe with a body shot. Baigan blocks a low kick nicely. Nusrat Baigan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stipe forces Baigan back against the cage and clinches. Baigan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Baigan scores with a jab. Stipe acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Stipe keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baigan throws a head kick that misses. Good shot there by Stipe. Baigan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Decent striking displayed by Baigan there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baigan checks the leg kick. A head kick misses from Baigan. A slow jab from Baigan misses its intended target. Baigan connects with a body shot that sends Stipe's belly button to the back. Baigan avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Baigan throws a leg kick which misses Stipe's front leg but catches the back leg as Stipe tries to avoid it. Baigan on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Stipe blocks a jab. Baigan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Stipe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Baigan is fending him off so far but Stipe persists. Nope, Baigan circles away and we're back to standing. Baigan has closed the distance and engaged Stipe in a clinch.

A short uppercut from Baigan. Stipe blocks a body shot from Baigan. Baigan scores with an uppercut up the middle. Stipe tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Baigan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Stipe backwards. Stipe doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Baigan breaks the clinch.
Baigan throws a right and a left that both miss. Baigan tries to close the distance and clinch but Stipe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Stipe takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Stipe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Baigan pinned against the cage. Baigan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mini Stipe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Baigan tries a head kick but it misses.
Baigan throws the left hand but Stipe avoids the punch easily. Baigan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Baigan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stipe.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Stipe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Baigan.
Stipe staying out of range there. Stipe jabbing away but nothing is landing. Stipe avoids the head kick by Baigan.
Baigan takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Baigan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Stipe.
Baigan tries to bum rush Stipe with a series of wild strikes but Stipe uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Stipe takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Stipe throws a right and a left that both miss. Nice uppercut there from Baigan. Stipe staying out of range there. Stipe jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Baigan moves out of range of the strikes. Stipe goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Nusrat Baigan has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stipe throws a hook but Baigan blocks it. Stipe will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

We've been told by Stipe's head coaches at Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stipe cracks Baigan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Stipe scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Baigan misses with a wild body shot. Baigan throws a looping overhand right but Stipe ducks down to avoid it. Baigan misses with a straight right. Stipe swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Stipe uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Baigan. Stipe misses with a straight right. Baigan sizes up Stipe with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. A bone on bone clash there as Baigan blocks the leg kick.
No luck for Stipe with that takedown attempt. Baigan defending well as Stipe loads up on a big left hand. Baigan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stipe takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Stipe throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A good leg kick by Stipe. Baigan lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Stipe backs up against the cage.

Nusrat Baigan dominated that round. The cut man is working on Nusrat Baigan's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Baigan works Stipe's body with a nice hook. A swing and a miss from Baigan. Baigan lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Stipe avoids a punch combination nicely.

You can see the frustration on Baigan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Stipe throws an elbow but Baigan slips to the side and avoids it well. Stipe with the ground and pound but Baigan regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Stipe is trying to control the action in half guard but Baigan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Baigan trying to control from the bottom.
Stipe seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Stipe is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stipe is trying to control. Baigan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stipe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Baigan's head. Stipe not landing any meaningful shots this time. Stipe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baigan tries to get to full guard but Stipe has control of the leg. Stipe is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Baigan has managed to free his arm - good work. Stipe slips a nice elbow through Baigan's hands, connecting with Baigan's forehead. Stipe is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Baigan sees it coming and defends easily. Stipe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stipe not landing any meaningful shots this time. Stipe missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Stipe looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Stipe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Baigan keeps working. Stipe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Stipe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Stipe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Baigan is doing well to control the position and prevent Stipe from advancing to side control. Baigan is staying active underneath Stipe, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Stipe lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Baigan felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Baigan has hold of Stipe's hands but Stipe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stipe controlling the action here. Stipe wants to control but Baigan is keeping him busy. Stipe working the head and body with strikes. Stipe is thwarting Baigan's attempts to control the position. Baigan keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Stipe is working for a kimura but Baigan is defending it quite comfortably.
Stipe looking for a submission but Baigan manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mini Stipe will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Nusrat Baigan's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Baigan lands a leg kick that knocks Stipe off balance momentarily. Baigan misses with a shot to the body and Stipe counters with a nice low kick that buckles Baigan's knee momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stipe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Stipe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Stipe misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Baigan dodges the ground and pound from Stipe. The strikes coming from Stipe are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Stipe trying to control the action but Baigan is working from the bottom. Stipe working the strikes but Baigan uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Stipe is nestled in close to Baigan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Stipe seems to be working for a kimura but Baigan defends the submission attempt. Stipe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stipe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Stipe landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Stipe is trying to control the action in half guard but Baigan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Stipe perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Baigan keeps control of the position for the meantime. Stipe is taking a breather. Baigan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Stipe slips a nice elbow through Baigan's hands, connecting with Baigan's forehead. Stipe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Mini Stipe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Baigan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Baigan is looking to improve his position but Stipe isn't that keen on the idea. Stipe goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Baigan turns into him and now he's in Stipe's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stipe working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Baigan has passed into half guard!
Stipe tries to get to full guard but Baigan has control of the leg. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Stipe is refusing to be controlled, as Baigan sits in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mini Stipe. I think Stipe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
