The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brendan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Aquila did well to prevent Brendan getting side control.
Aquila scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Brendan manages to mount him!
Brendan is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Aquila closes the distance and clinches up with Brendan, looking for a takedown. Aquila pushes Brendan against the cage but Brendan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Brendan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Brendan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Aquila was covering up waiting for the punch and Brendan finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well Brendan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
