Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohamed Brendan (ranked 5916 p4p, 144 weight class) and Ewart Soso (ranked 5920 p4p, 143 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mohamed Brendan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ewart Soso! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soso tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brendan defends well and Soso ends up having to push Brendan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Soso moves into the clinch successfully.
Soso ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Soso no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Brendan working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Brendan tries to stand but Soso is controlling from the bottom. Soso looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Soso wants to hit a switch here but Brendan passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Soso there! Soso holds of for dear life. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brendan sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brendan avoids the attempt from Soso to control. Brendan fails to take his opponent's back. The referee warns Soso that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Brendan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Soso working to try and regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Soso tries to improve his position but instead Brendan has taken his back! Soso tries to roll but Brendan sticks to his back.
Brendan is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Soso knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Soso for a finish. Soso trying to control the action but Brendan just sinks the hooks in.

Soso knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Soso for a finish. Brendan is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Brendan gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Brendan gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Brendan apologises and we restart here on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Soso looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brendan is fending him off so far but Soso persists. Nope, Brendan circles away and we're back to standing. Brendan shoots in looking for a takedown. Soso tries to sprawl out of it but Brendan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Soso manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Brendan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Soso defends well and Brendan ends up having to push Soso into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Brendan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Soso sprawls well. Soso wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brendan gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mohamed Brendan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brendan has managed to clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Soso jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brendan walks away with a smile on his face. Soso gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mohamed Brendan dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Brendan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Brendan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Soso tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brendan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Soso is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Brendan scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Soso to see if he's OK. Brendan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Soso can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Soso is looking to reverse the position. Soso wants to get back to his feet but Brendan is dominant here and he's now got Soso's back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Brendan looking for the RNC. Soso is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Brendan is persistently looking for the submission but Soso is defending it well.
Brendan is trying to stick to Soso's back but Soso is turning into Brendan. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Brendan's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Soso. Brendan controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Soso trying to control the position from guard on top but Brendan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brendan trying to strike off his back.
Soso throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Brendan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Soso postures up in Brendan's guard and throws a big left but Brendan blocks it. Mohamed Brendan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Brendan wants to get back to his feet but Soso is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Brendan controlling Soso's posture. Soso must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Soso looking to pass the guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brendan pulls Soso in to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Brendan drives through and clinches with Soso against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Brendan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Brendan manages to end up in side control. Soso gets back to half guard. Brendan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brendan is thwarting Soso's attempts to control the position. Soso is looking to escape. Soso punching from the bottom.

Brendan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mohamed Brendan dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Brendan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Soso counter with a right hand. Soso goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Brendan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Soso looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Brendan jumps guard but Soso stands there with Brendan around his waist. Brendan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Soso pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Brendan clinches with his opponent.

Soso controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Brendan lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brendan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Brendan trying to control the position from guard on top but Soso is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brendan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Soso is keeping the position for now. Brendan wants to stand but Soso is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Soso tries to land a sweep but no joy. Brendan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Brendan showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Soso has his hands on Brendan's head, controlling the position. Soso working a defensive guard here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soso throws a sloppy head kick and Brendan moves out of range easily. Brendan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brendan lands in his opponent's guard. Brendan stands and throws Soso's legs to the side, diving into side control. Soso tries to bench press Brendan off him but Brendan keeps the position. Brendan moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brendan tries to stand but Soso is controlling his head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brendan remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Brendan grinds an elbow into Soso's temple. Brendan passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Soso! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brendan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! Mohamed Brendan showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brendan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
