Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sudarshan Yaakov (ranked 4107 p4p, 108 weight class) and Zeru Subramaniam (ranked 6101 p4p, 152 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sudarshan Yaakov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zeru Subramaniam! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Subramaniam darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Yaakov looking for submissions off his back. Yaakov tries to roll over but Subramaniam keeps him under control. Yaakov gets full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Subramaniam not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Yaakov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Subramaniam defends well. Yaakov pulls Subramaniam in close to his closed guard and prevents Subramaniam from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Subramaniam throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Subramaniam stops Yaakov from standing up. Yaakov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Subramaniam can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Subramaniam controlling from the top position. Subramaniam trying to control the position from guard on top but Yaakov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Yaakov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Subramaniam missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Yaakov has Subramaniam pulled in close to control his posture. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Yaakov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Subramaniam is one step ahead there.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Subramaniam closes the distance and clinches. Subramaniam manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Subramaniam looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Yaakov tries to keep at a distance but Subramaniam has taken the fight into the clinch. Subramaniam stops a takedown attempt from Yaakov.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Subramaniam has Yaakov pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Subramaniam pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Yaakov tumbling to the mat - Subramaniam dives into Yaakov's guard. Yaakov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Subramaniam tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Yaakov defends well and Subramaniam ends up having to push Yaakov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Subramaniam keeping full guard, as Yaakov tries to pass. Yaakov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Yaakov passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Subramaniam is not content to let Yaakov control the position. You can see the frustration on Subramaniam's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Subramaniam is looking for a sweep. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Subramaniam showed some decent athleticism there. Subramaniam wants to control but Yaakov is keeping him busy. Yaakov actively working from the bottom here. And that's the end of the fight! Zeru Subramaniam comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Subramaniam has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
