Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abel Frey (ranked 5529 p4p, 164 weight class) and Tim Mayer (ranked 5482 p4p, 163 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abel Frey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Mayer! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Mayer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Frey moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromMayer. Mayer throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Frey.
It looks like Abel Frey has been cut. Mayer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Frey but Frey pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mayer clinches with his opponent.
Frey controlling the action here for a moment.
Frey ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Frey no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mayer trying to control the position from guard on top but Frey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mayer wants to stand but Frey has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Mayer landing with the ground and pound. Mayer trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Frey manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Frey throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mayer works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Mayer keeping moving, preventing Frey from controlling successfully. Frey stops Mayer from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayer looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Frey has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mayer is proving hard to escape from. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Frey's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Frey showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Mayer is pulling down on Frey's head to control his posture. Mayer looking to control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frey trying to control but Mayer is working from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Frey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mayer as he jumps to the side. Mayer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Frey manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mayer has closed the distance and engaged Frey in a clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Mayer manages to break the clinch.
Mayer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Frey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mayer pinned against the cage. Mayer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Mayer rushes Frey and presses him up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mayer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mayer throws a head kick but Frey moves out of range.
Mayer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Frey gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Frey manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Mayer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Frey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mayer's corner is telling him to maintain position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Frey striking off his back but it's not causing Mayer any problems. Mayer trying to control but Frey is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Mayer dominated that round. The cut man is working on Abel Frey's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Frey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mayer sprawls well. Mayer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Frey gets slowly back to his feet. Frey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mayer circles away quickly and effectively. Frey keeps the fight on the outside. Frey is looking to counter with head kicks. Mayer keeps the fight on the outside. Mayer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Frey avoids it really well and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mayer looks to throw the jab but Frey is out of range. That's one minute gone in the round. Mayer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Frey defends it nicely. Abel Frey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Mayer. Frey dodges the punch combination from Mayer.
Frey tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mayer swivels and escapes. Mayer shoots in and bounces Frey off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Frey wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mayer manages to pass to side control. Frey works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frey looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Frey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mayer trying to control the position from guard on top but Frey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mayer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Frey looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mayer throws a big elbow that misses. Frey trying to control the position.
Mayer being controlled here momentarily. Mayer is looking to pass into half guard but Frey pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Frey is in guard. Frey's corner is telling him to maintain position. Frey drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mayer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Frey has Mayer in his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mayer is pushing down on Frey's leg trying to pass to half guard. Frey is fighting to maintain full guard but Mayer has managed to sneak the leg through. Mayer trying to control from half guard but Frey is working away. Frey looking for submissions off his back. Mayer wants to stand but Frey has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Frey is trying to stand back up but Mayer is controlling him
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Mayer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Abel Frey's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Frey leaves Mayer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Frey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mayer sprawls well. Mayer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Frey gets slowly back to his feet. Frey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mayer pinned against the cage. Mayer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nice takedown defense from Mayer. No joy for Frey on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abel Frey. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frey wants to clinch. Mayer shapes to counter with a head kick. Mayer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Frey.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mayer gets a clinch. Mayer has Frey pushed against the cage. Frey ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Frey no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Frey has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mayer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Frey keeping moving, preventing Mayer from controlling successfully. Frey lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mayer holds on and takes a little breather. Abel Frey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayer is trying to control the position but Frey postures up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mayer is on top in guard.
Mayer decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Frey, up you get! Frey moves out of range of the body kick from Mayer.
Frey half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Frey tries to close the distance and clinch but Mayer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Frey doesn't manage to clinch there - Mayer circles away.
Mayer throws a fast counter high kick but Frey manages to duck under it in time. Mayer throws a head kick that half lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frey doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mayer counters with a lovely shot to the body. Mayer drives through and clinches with Frey against the cage.
Mayer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mayer tries to pull guard but Frey forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Frey effectively controlling the action here. Mayer manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Mayer throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Mayer is trying to keep Frey in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mayer is pulling down on Frey's head. It's preventing any offense from Frey, at least for the moment. Mayer looking to control.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Frey trying to mount his opponent but Mayer defends it. Abel Frey has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tim Mayer is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Mayer gets back to full guard.
