Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Johnny Bolivar (ranked 5884 p4p, 137 weight class) and Harry Kane (ranked 3664 p4p, 89 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bolivar might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Superman Theme. Harry Kane told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 3 losses; Johnny Bolivar! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Harry Kane! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Bolivar clinches with his opponent.
Bolivar is pressed up against the ropes. Kane has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bolivar down to the mat. Bolivar avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Kane gets tackled into the ropes by Bolivar. Bolivar maintains the clinch. Kane is looking for a takedown. Kane should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Kane is trying to drag Bolivar to the mat but Bolivar just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Johnny Bolivar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Kane. Bolivar has Kane pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bolivar pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Kane tumbling to the mat - Bolivar dives into Kane's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Bolivar (2) vs (0) Kane Bolivar stands and throws Kane's legs to the side, diving into side control. Score +3 for passing guard: Bolivar (5) vs (0) Kane We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bolivar controlling the position. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kane has eaten all the pies!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bolivar is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Kane is trying to escape and Bolivar transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Kane is forced to tap! Nice work there by Bolivar! Very nice indeed!
