Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tembo Laibon (ranked 3409 p4p, 304 weight class) and Ice Tea (ranked 5512 p4p, 395 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 5 losses; Tembo Laibon! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 6 losses; Ice Tea! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Laibon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Laibon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tea working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Laibon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Laibon showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Laibon is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at 3Band MMA ($800/week) that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Laibon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tea for as long as he can get away with. Laibon continues to stall. Tea has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Laibon is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! Score +2 for reaching mount: Laibon (7) vs (0) Tea Laibon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Tea is desperately trying to improve his position but Laibon has a good base and remains in mount. Tea is trying to escape the mount but Laibon keeps good control and instead manages to take Tea's back.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Laibon has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Tea's body.

Tea is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Tea is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Laibon defends it well. Tea is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Laibon sees it coming and defends easily. Laibon tries to get to full guard but Tea has control of the leg. That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Tea is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Laibon has managed to free his arm - good work. Laibon is trying is best to control the position here. Laibon wants to control but Tea is keeping busy and won't allow it. Tea is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Laibon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tea. Tea prevents Laibon from improving his position.

Laibon is trying to control the position but Tea postures up. Laibon has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Tea doesn't defend quickly enough and Laibon has managed to lock this one up! Can Tea escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Laibon on a fantastic submission victory.
