Sixx's entrance music is The Fire of Power by WATAIN. A fine choice. Silva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Roots Bloody Roots - Sepultura. Rodrigo Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a double jab.
Sixx shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.
Sixx is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sixx is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Sixx slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Sixx in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Sixx tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva is being controlled here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sixx is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sixx lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Silva taking punishment in the form of punches.
Silva gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Sixx passes to full mount!
Sixx working for a guillotine from mount but Silva is in no mood to give up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sixx landing strikes from the mount.
Silva is rocked!
Sixx lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Silva! Sixx sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Silva and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
