Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wekar Robson (ranked 4259 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robinson David (ranked 2910 p4p, 0 weight class). David comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Space Cowboy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wekar Robson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robinson David! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! David gets a double leg takedown into Robson's guard. Robson manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Robson or perhaps it was just good defense by David, which made it look bad. A little jabbing left from David on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Robson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. David manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A shot to the body from David misses and Robson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Robson has hold of one of David's legs. David is fighting the takedown attempt but Robson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. David striking off his back but it's not causing Robson any problems. Robson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. David looking to hit a scissor sweep but Robson is one step ahead there. Robson drops back looking for a leg! David is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and David manages to kick Robson off! Robson jumps back into David's guard. David really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Robson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Robson cracks David with a solid left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robson controls from within his opponent's guard. David trying to keep a closed guard but Robson is proving a slippery customer.
Robson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. David wants to control the position but Robson says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Robson is nestled in close to David, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Still in half guard, Robson seems content to control. Robson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Robson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Robson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Robson seems to be working for a kimura but David defends the submission attempt. David wants to get back to full guard but Robson has passed into side control. David trying to control but Robson flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! David defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Robson's arms. David tries to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. David is still trying to improve position. David is trying to stand back up. Robson biding his time, controlling David. David is trying to break free.
Robson controlling the position well here. David rolled but Robson kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. David trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Good control from Robson. David turns into Robson and is now in his guard.
Robson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in David's guard.
Robson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
David looks winded! Robson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Robson won't allow David to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wekar Robson dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
David drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Robson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! David tries to close the distance and clinch but Robson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The fight moves into the clinch position. Robson prevents David from breaking the clinch. Robson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as David walks away with a smile on his face. Robson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Robson takes one to the chin there. David tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Robson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Robson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from David. Robson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Robson moves out of range as David strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robson's jab looks to have found its range, popping David under the eye. Robson misses with a double jab.
David shoots in but no luck this time. David is breathing heavily. David darts in looking for a takedown but Robson gets double underhooks and turns David into the cage. And Robson counters with a quick kick to the body but David blocks it. Wekar Robson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robinson David. Robson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. David looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Robson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that David can do to turn this around? Robson cracks the inside of David's front leg. Wekar Robson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. David moves into the clinch. Robson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics David uses from the top position. David wants to stand and escape but instead Robson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Robson advances to half guard. Robson scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Robson uses his free foot to push down on David's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for David.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Robson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. David tries to improve his position but instead Robson has taken his back! Robson is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Robson lands with a hammerfist to the side of David's head. David is trying to get to his feet but he's left his neck exposed and Robson manages to sink in a rear naked choke! Great counter grappling by Robson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Wekar Robson! Robinson David was interviewed post fight and said 'Hey, man, wait for me, we'll meet again. I have to rush back to a new training session.'.
