Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James Fusi! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henry Akinwande! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fusi tries to clinch but Akinwande moves out of range. Akinwande connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fusi momentarily.
It looks like James Fusi has been cut. Fusi throws a body punch but Akinwande moves out of range. Fusi thows a left - swing and a miss! Akinwande keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Fusi. Fusi doesn't manage to clinch there - Akinwande circles away.
Akinwande tries a quick counter leg kick but Fusi is wise to it. Nice shot lands for Fusi. We've been told by Fusi's head coaches at Hardpunch (13 Elite / 1000$ that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Akinwande jabs Fusi to the body, keeping him at a distance. Fusi looks to clinch and Akinwande counters with a straight right hand. Fusi gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Akinwande gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Fusi is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
