Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juares Dea (ranked 4827 p4p, 450 weight class) and Joshua Madison (ranked 24194 p4p, 542 weight class). Madison has chosen Nipsey Hussle - Victory Lap as his entrance music. Joshua Madison is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juares Dea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Madison!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Madison shoots in and gets a takedown into Dea's guard.
Dea is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Madison dives into side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Madison is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Dea will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Madison gets to mount! Dea was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Dea takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Madison is staying tight to Dea's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Madison is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dea knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Madison decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dea to his feet.

Madison swats away the attempt to clinch by Dea.

Dea doesn't manage to clinch there - Madison circles away.

Madison closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dea to the mat! Dea manages to get full guard.

The fight stays on the outside here - Dea looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've been informed that Madison has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Madison shoots in for a takedown but Dea shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Dea fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Madison jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dea walks away with a smile on his face. Madison gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Dea gets caught napping as Madison dives in and scores a takedown. Dea manages to retain guard.
Dea is wriggling around but Madison manages to pass to half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Madison stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Dea to get to his feet.

Madison shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dea napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Well Madison has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
