Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Striker (ranked 23509 p4p, 489 weight class) and Jett Denovan (ranked 4166 p4p, 354 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jett Denovan was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ken Striker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jett Denovan! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A right-left combo lands from Denovan. Striker darts in and clinches Denovan up against the cage. Denovan managing to block the knees to the body from Striker.
Denovan goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Striker is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Denovan pulls him back up using the underhooks. Striker is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Denovan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Striker's efforts to push away. Striker changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Denovan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Striker. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Denovan darts in trying to clinch and Striker counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Denovan! Denovan sneaks out the side door and pushes Striker away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Denovan misses with a combination
and Striker counters by moving into the clinch. Denovan lands a hook to the side of the head. Striker tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Denovan smiles and moves away.
Denovan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Denovan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Striker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Striker is breathing heavily. Striker has closed the distance and engaged Denovan in a clinch.
Denovan lands with a right to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Striker leaning his opponent against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Denovan misses with some punches.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Denovan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Striker is trying to pull guard but Denovan has him pressed against the cage. Denovan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Denovan catches Striker with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Striker forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jett Denovan!
