Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kim Jo Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiyoshi Matsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matsumoto is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Carl Douglas - Kung fu fighting. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jo Lee has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jo Lee there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Kim Jo Lee has been cut. Matsumoto lands with a straight right. Jo Lee didn't see that one coming. Jo Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Jo Lee tries to pass to full mount but Matsumoto defends it. Matsumoto is defending against the submission attempts here by Jo Lee.
Jo Lee wants to take a breather but Matsumoto is having none of it. Matsumoto is positioning himself well to prevent Jo Lee advancing to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matsumoto tries to kick Jo Lee off but Jo Lee keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Jo Lee wants to pass to mount but Matsumoto is defending the position. Jo Lee not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Matsumoto lands a jab to the head.
Nice takedown defense from Matsumoto. No joy for Jo Lee on that attempt. Jo Lee doesn't manage to clinch there - Matsumoto circles away.

Jo Lee shoots in and drives through. Matsumoto sprawls well. Jo Lee is breathing heavily. Matsumoto connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Jo Lee gets a takedown into half guard. Matsumoto tries to kick Jo Lee off but Jo Lee keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jo Lee wants to control but Matsumoto is keeping him busy. Jo Lee with the ground and pound but Matsumoto uses the opportunity to regain guard. Jo Lee trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jo Lee trying to move into half guard but instead Matsumoto has managed to sweep! Matsumoto stands and steps away. Jo Lee gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jo Lee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kim Jo Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Matsumoto throws a left that rocks Jo Lee and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Matsumoto dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Jo Lee regain composure!

Will he be able to recover?!! Matsumoto decides to stand back up. Matsumoto steps back and let's Jo Lee get back to his feet. Matsumoto steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Jo Lee is out on his feet! Matsumoto sets himself and nearly takes Jo Lee's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
