With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Felix Thompson!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Aldo counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A slow jab from Thompson misses its intended target.
Thompson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aldo but Aldo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Thompson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
KJ Aldo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felix Thompson.
Aldo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thompson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Thompson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A combination from Aldo does no damage.

Thompson throws a head kick that misses
and Aldo counters with a stiff right hand.
KJ Aldo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Aldo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Thompson's hands.
Aldo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Thompson is rocked!
Thompson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Aldo to counter with a crisp jab.
Thompson is still on wobbly legs! Can Aldo finish him?
Aldo lands with a good body shot.
Thompson shoots and misses
and Aldo counters with a left to the body.
Thompson seems to have recovered his senses.
Thompson looks winded!
Thompson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Oooooh!!! Aldo has knocked Thompson down with a huge combo! Aldo steps away and waves a wobbly Thompson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
We've been told by Aldo's head coaches at Hands of Stone Gym (Low Capacity, Fast Results) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Aldo cracks a nice hook into Thompson's ribs.
Aldo lands a big right hook! Thompson looks hurt but is still standing! Aldo lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Thompson falls down and Aldo dives in with a huge hammer fist! Thompson's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Aldo runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
