Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Hans Lankari and Sergio Diaz. Lankari comes into the arena with AC/DC - Thunderstruck blaring out of the sound system. Diaz is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Gasolina. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sergio Diaz was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Hans Lankari! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Sergio Diaz! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Lankari circles away from the clinch attempt.
Diaz tries for a takedown but Lankari sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Diaz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lankari sprawls well. Lankari lands a couple of decent looking shots. Lankari is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lankari sitting in guard, not really doing much. Valdez wants to sweep here but Lankari controlling him for the moment. Valdez keeping full guard, as Lankari tries to pass. Lankari has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here.
