Mayo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Super Furry Animals - Golden Retriever. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Mayo tries to clinch but fails miserably letting Mike counter with a right hand. Mike fails with the takedown. Mike swats away the attempt to clinch by Mayo. Mike clinches with his opponent.

Mayo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mike walks away with a smile on his face. Mayo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Mayo. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mike clinches up with Mayo and pushes him back against the cage. #R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! #TD# White looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Mayo looking for a sweep. Not yet Mayo, not yet. White stands and throws Mayo's legs to the side, diving into side control. White wants to control but Mayo is keeping him busy. Mayo is looking to regain half guard here but White keeps moving and retains side control. White tries to move to full mount but Mayo actually manages to regain half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mayo wants to control but White passes into side.
#SUB# White tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no White has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Mayo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with White . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. #SUB# White tries for a kimura.
