Sobrante is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Banner has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Banner is desperately trying to improve his position but Sobrante has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Banner tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Smith scores with a hook to the body. Banner takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
