#R1# Dos Santos scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.#TD2# Dos Santos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rose was covering up waiting for the punch and Dos Santos finishes the takedown easily into guard. Dos Santos seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Let's hope that Dos Santos has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Rose keeping moving, preventing Dos Santos from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dos Santos sitting in guard, not really doing much. #T1# Rose looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dos Santos is one step ahead there. We've been hearing good reports from Rose's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Dos Santos slips nicely into half guard.#SUB2# Dos Santos wants to work for an arm triangle but Rose is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
#SUB2# Dos Santos is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
#SUB2# Dos Santos is working for a submission of some sort.
Rose slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.#T2# Rose is looking to stand up but Dos Santos isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dos Santos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. It looks like Dos Santos might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Dos Santos wants to control from the top but Rose keeps moving. #SUB# Rose has his foot on Dos Santos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dos Santos works his way back into a safe position though. Dos Santos looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Dos Santos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rose's guard. #T3##SUB2# Dos Santos is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
#SUB2# Dos Santos seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Rose is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). William Dos Santos! Jumping up and down and very excited, William Dos Santos waved his t-shirt featuring Fury Nutrition's logo in front of the cameras.
