#R1# A combination from Saidov does no damage. Rekis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Saidov's waist but Saidov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rekis off to one side. Saidov checks a low kick from Rekis. Saidov misses with a double jab
and Rekis counters with a straight punch to the midsection.#TD# Rekis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Rekis wants to control but Saidov is keeping him busy. Rekis working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Saidov keeping hold of Rekis's head, controlling as best he can. Rekis working Saidov over with strikes. Rekis is trying to control. Saidov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Saidov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Rekis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Rekis is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rekis controlling from the top position. #T1# Saidov wants to sweep here but Rekis controlling him for the moment. #SUB2# Saidov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rekis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Saidov is tightening it up a little... Rekis has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Rekis reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Rekis taps out! Nice BJJ there by Saidov!

After the fight, Ismail Saidov was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. John Rekis was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll be back!!!'.

Saidov is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Elkoski is defending well.#TD2# Saidov works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Saidov sitting in guard, not really doing much. Elkoski is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Saidov is controlling him. Saidov is stalling in the full guard. Elkoski wants to get back to his feet but Saidov is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Saidov is standing up over Elkoski. Elkoski looks to escape but Saidov dives into side control.

Ismail Saidov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Saidov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Elkoski. Elkoski tries to counter with a takedown but Saidov is quick to defend against it. Saidov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Elkoski lands with a kick to the temple. Saidov shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Saidov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Elkoski manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Elkoski just misses with a elbow thrown towards Saidov's brow. Elkoski misses with a hook from the clinch. #TD2# Saidov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Saidov manages to end up in side control. Elkoski is looking to get back to his feet here but Saidov is keeping cool and he's managed to take Elkoski's back. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Saidov has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Elkoski's body.

Saidov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rekis keeps working. Rekis is trying to control Saidov's posture but Saidov avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Saidov controlling the position from side mount. Saidov tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rekis is trying to get back to half guard. Rekis wants to control but Saidov postures up.#T1# Rekis is not content to let Saidov control the position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Rekis wants to control but Saidov postures up. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Saidov working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Saidov takes a little break here. Saidov fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

#R1# Saidov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Saidov shoots and misses #TD# and Mutou counters with a shoot takedown. Saidov fights it but they end up in guard. Mutou lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mutou working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Saidov's head. Mutou tries to free his leg and advance position but Saidov is retaining full guard. Mutou is in close to Saidov's body, working some short punches and elbows. We've been hearing that Mutou has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Mutou distracts Saidov with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.#SUB2# Saidov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mutou defends well. Mutou lands a couple of elbows. Mutou with a nice head shot there. Mutou chips away with some ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mutou works over Saidov with some ground and pound from guard. Keiji Mutou really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Mohito Fightwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

#ROC# Cup is rocked!#CUT# It looks like Kania Cup has been cut.#SU# Saidov decides to take the fight back to the feet. Cup is still on wobbly legs! Can Saidov finish him? Saidov lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Cup out cold! Cup is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
