Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Dido Vicini and Felipe Calderon. Vicini comes to the cage accompanied by Mother. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 3 losses; Dido Vicini! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Felipe Calderon! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Calderon gets in close and instigates a clinch. Vicini turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Vicini (4) vs (0) Calderon Calderon gets back to half guard. Calderon makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Calderon. Vicini sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Calderon's guard. Vicini passes the guard and advances to mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Vicini (7) vs (0) Calderon Vicini can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Calderon is looking to escape. Calderon is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Vicini wants to take his opponent's back but Calderon doesn't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Calderon tries to improve his position but Vicini has taken his back! Vicini has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Calderon tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Vicini pushes Calderon away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Smith forces his way into half guard.#SUB# Calderon looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Smith loads up on a big left hand. Calderon felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Smith looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Calderon can't hide his disappointment, as Smith celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johnny Smith! Johnny Smith was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

#R1# Parker tests Calderon's chin there with a solid looking shot. Calderon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Parker as he jumps to the side. A combination from Parker does no damage. Calderon throws a head kick that misses and Parker counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Calderon has a takedown stuffed. Parker looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.#KD# Parker drops Calderon with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Calderon looks back up at him and smiles so Parker waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Parker misses with a double jab.
Calderon misses with a straight right. A quick step to the side and Parker tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Calderon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Calderon lands a jab to the nose.#KD# Parker lands a big uppercut and Calderon crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Calderon looks OK. Parker waves Calderon back to his feet! Parker cracks Calderon with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Calderon falls to his knees and Parker doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

letting Calderon counter with a right hand. Calderon throws a head kick that misses. #TD# Calderon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Powers did well to prevent Calderon getting side control. Calderon is nestled in close to Powers, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.#SUB# Calderon seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Powers is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
