Umanouke is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Snead ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Umanouke moves away. Snead takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Umanouke. Snead throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Snead has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Garfunkel fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Snead has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Garfunkel bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Snead's head backwards. Garfunkel lands with a hook. Snead tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Garfunkel scores with a jab to the jaw. Garfunkel misses with a body shot.
