Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Evgeniy Malkin (ranked 2496 p4p, 0 weight class) and Longfellow Deeds (ranked 15112 p4p, 0 weight class). Malkin comes into the arena with The Heavy - How You Like Me Now? blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Evgeniy Malkin! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 3 losses; Longfellow Deeds! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Malkin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Deeds circles away. Malkin wants to clinch up but Deeds keeps it at a distance. Deeds forces Malkin back against the cage and clinches. Deeds decides to pull guard. Deeds has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Malkin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Deeds. Byhenikov comes into the arena with Harbinger blaring out of the sound system. Malkin has chosen The Heavy - How You Like Me Now? as his entrance music. Evgeniy Malkin told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Malkin feints the counter takedown. Lo lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Lo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Malkin circles away quickly and effectively. Lo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Malkin.
A little jabbing left from Malkin on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Malkin takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Malkin ducks under a wild hook from Lo. Lo throws a jab when Malkin was well out of range. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Malkin! But no joy.
