#R1##TD# Rice darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Rice lands strikes from half guard. Rice stalling. #SUB2# Conlon looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Conlon taking some punishment here, with Rice in his half guard. Conlon tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. #SUB2# Conlon looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Conlon misses with some strikes from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rice working the head and body with strikes. Rice seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Conlon wants to get back to full guard.#T1# Conlon throws a strike from the bottom but Rice passes into side control!

Conlon has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rice is really squeezing tight and eventually Conlon passes out! Rice breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
