Azuma feinted with a counter takedown. A shot to the liver by Azuma. Beautiful body shot.#CL# Azuma moves into range and clinches up with Conte. Conte tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Azuma avoids it. Conte lands a left hand.
#CUT2# It looks like Akira Azuma has been cut. Azuma digs a right hand underneath Conte's ribcage. Conte let out a lung full of air as it connected. Azuma tries to pull guard but Conte won't allow it.
Conte makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. We've been hearing reports that Azuma has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. A battle for position here, against the cage.#BC# Azuma breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Azuma cracks Conte with a hook to the jaw. Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Quentin DeBramalo and Akira Azuma. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Quentin DeBramalo! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Akira Azuma! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? DeBramalo shoots for a takedown but Azuma saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from DeBramalo is defended easily by Azuma. Azuma feints the counter takedown. Azuma slaps away a takedown attempt from DeBramalo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Azuma tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. #R1# Kullervo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Kullervo throws a sloppy head kick and Azuma moves out of range easily. Kullervo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Azuma. Azuma obviously looking to wear him down.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kullervo. Azuma does a little dance to reset his feet. Azuma fails to land with a series of punches.
Azuma with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Kullervo staying out of range there. Kullervo walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. A decent looking body kick lands there for Azuma. Azuma throws a leg kick but Kullervo checks it. Kullervo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gutz Gym in the buildup to the fight. A head kick misses from Kullervo. Azuma scores with a jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Azuma misses with a body kick. Kullervo thinks about countering with a head kick. Azuma throws a wild body kick that Urahara sees coming a mile off. Urahara appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Azuma throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
