Stark has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Haigh is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Stark scores with a couple of nice shots. Haigh blocking the ground and pound attempt from Stark. Stark wants to free his trapped foot but Haigh is holding on for dear life with his legs. Haigh wants to control but Stark is keeping busy and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stark looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Haigh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stark is working away from the top position though. Stove swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Haigh throws the kick towards the body but Stove avoids it. Haigh scores with a hook to the body. Stove takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Haigh swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Stove lands the left hand. Stove defending well as Haigh loads up on a big left hand. Haigh has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Touch Of Death Combat Academy in the buildup to the fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haigh takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Haigh throws a series of punches but Stove moves out of range. Haigh is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stove. #T1# The fighters circle momentarily. Stove darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Kevin Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A lazy left from Haigh finds it's target. Haigh misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

NKone takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Haigh throws a combination that misses and Uxxarest counters with a nice low kick that buckles Haigh's knee momentarily. Haigh shoots in looking for a takedown but Uxxarest manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Haigh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Uxxarest avoids the head kick by Haigh.
No joy there for Haigh, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Uxxarest is looking to score with low kicks. Haigh scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
