Backlund shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Privilege but Privilege pushes him off and we're back to square one. Privilege is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Backlund stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Privilege. A solid leg kick lands there for Privilege.
Backlund misses with a takedown attempt and Privilege counters with an inside leg kick. Backlund has a takedown stuffed. Privilege has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. White Privilege has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Backlund.#KD# Privilege lands a big head kick that sends Backlund tumbling to the mat! Backlund wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. #SUB# Backlund has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tonu is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Backlund. Tonu tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Backlund's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Tonu is looking to take a break and control but Backlund is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T1# Tonu grinds an elbow into Backlund's temple. Grena did well to prevent Backlund getting side control.#SUB2# Backlund seems to be working for a kimura but Grena defends the submission attempt.#SUB2# Backlund is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Grena is just riding it out for now. Backlund eventually gives up the hold. Backlund content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Antonio Jose De Sucre and Bob Backlund. Bob Backlund told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!
