Alvarez keeping control of the position. Shinoki works his foot free and advances to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Draymond manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. #TD2# Shinoki gets a double leg takedown into Draymond's guard. Draymond might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Draymond wants to sweep but no luck. Shinoki cracks Draymond with a solid left hand. Draymond pulls Shinoki in close to prevent any damage. #T1# Shinoki keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Draymond's head. #R1# Lange throws a jab when Shinoki was well out of range. Heinrich Lange seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lange's jab looks to have found its range, popping Shinoki under the eye. Lange throws the left hand but Shinoki avoids the punch easily. A telegraphed right hand from Lange misses the target. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lange, right into the meat.
Lange looks to throw the jab but Shinoki is out of range. Shinoki changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Lange throws a right and a left that both miss. We've been hearing reports that Shinoki has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. A cross from Silva lands. Wiggin lands an elbow inside that Shinoki shrugs off. Shinoki looking for a takedown. Shinoki wants to get back to striking at distance but Wiggin won't allow it.
